WHY YOU’RE HERE

Intimate relationships can feel messy—whether you are dating, partnered, or somewhere in between.

You may feel lost, isolated, or frustrated in relationships that are not working for you. You want a thriving sexual relationship, and you are unsure how to get it.

Maybe you are fighting about sex. Or maybe you just stopped talking about it…or you never talked about it. Now sex is difficult to access or seemingly non-existent.

  • Maybe sex is physically or emotionally painful.

  • Your body isn’t responding the way that it used to.

  • Traumatic memories consistently invade your ability to enjoy sex.

  • Maybe initiating or receiving touch activates anxiety.

  • You want to “open” your relationship, and your partner does not.

  • Or, perhaps, you are just too exhausted to even imagine sex as something you would enjoy.

When sex is hard, all of life can feel hard.

Now, you wonder if your relationship is doomed because your sex life is struggling.

Maybe you’ve been to couples therapy before. You've tried therapy before. Maybe it even helped- with communication, with conflict. But sex? You never got to talk about the thing that was bothering you most.

Here’s what we know after working with hundreds of couples: almost every long-term relationship hits a sexual roadblock. Usually more than one. It doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re human.

If you’re like us, nobody taught you how to initiate, explore, or sustain a fulfilling sex life. That's exactly what we're here to help with.

THERE IS ANOTHER WAY

Your relationship is worthy of sexual pleasure.

Sexual challenges are a sign that you are human, not that your relationship is doomed. Sex is where our deepest vulnerabilities live: the wounds we carry in our bodies, the fear of rejection when we finally ask for what we need, the pressure to perform.

Your relationship is worthy of sexual pleasure. And what you learn about sexuality together? It will drastically improve other parts of your relationship, too.

ABOUT US

We're doing this work alongside you.

Hi! We're Julia Postema and Jeremiah Gibson — married, AASECT-certified sex therapists, and the co-founders of Let's Heal Together.

We believe that if a couple can talk well about sex, they can talk well about anything. We also believe that most people were never taught how, not really. We're here to change that.

We've walked 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago together. We know something about navigating hard terrain.

From the writing

Relationship 101

Jeremiah writes regularly about sex, relationships, and the research behind both. Clear, specific, and free of the things you're tired of hearing.
